I graduated in May 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Business Administration. My concentration is Political Communication. With the completion of my senior thesis and honors curriculum, I graduated with College Honors, the highest distinction offered by the Ogden Honors College. My senior thesis examined the implications of providing new information regarding party identification and impacts on third party support. I also received the Distinguished Communicator certification.
I was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and grew up in Plano, Texas. I graduated from Plano East Senior High School in 2013 as a distinguished graduate. In my free time, I enjoy hanging with my dog (plus the occasional foster pup) and exploring Texas state parks. My love for volunteer work has led me to work as a camp counselor for special needs participants through the City of Plano for three summers. I also worked as a volunteer and foster for dogs through Companion Animal Alliance-- the open intake shelter for Baton Rouge. I never leave home without access to a book. My current favorites include Ayn Rand's "Anthem", George Orwell's "1984" and Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird." |
